| The Bedroom I love this bed (again, Bespaq). I guilded it to keep the continuity throughout the house. I dressed it in different shades of green and added a little bit of gold. I made the window treatments to match the swags on the bed. The little night table was made from a Chrysnbon kit. Originally, I think it was supposed to be a plant stand. I refinished it to match the rest of the decor. It adds a bit of a delicate touch to balance out the heavier furniture in this room. I've included a closeup of the floor in this room, which matches the floors throughout the house. It is a yellow sienna marble and black marble pattern. I couldn't find any nice flooring that was within my budget, so I decided to paint the floors myself. I soon learned that marblizing is much harder in miniature than in real life! Most of the vases and urns for the flower arrangements in the house are inexpensive terra cota pieces that I verdigris'd to look more expensive. |

| The Sitting Room All of the rooms in this house are small, but this is the smallest of the small. I think it was supposed to be a bathroom. You might have noticed that there are no bathrooms or kitchens in this house, so you may want to take this into consideration if you're thinking about moving in. The bench was my first attempt at upholstery and we'll leave it at that! The Bespaq cabinet to the left was unfinished and a bear to paint. I have three lights to go in it, but could only feed one through the hole. If anyone knows of an easy way to do this, please e-mail me. I believe every home needs a cat, even if there are no humans. So I added this little cat peeking over the cabinet. The violin was broken when I bought it, so I got a great deal on it. |
